Flintlock rifles - like the game of golf in many ways. One day they treat you well, the next they have you flinching like the first time I picked up a 12 gauge. The video below was taken with my D90 as our friends were practicing with their "flint guns." 4.5 frames per second allowed for some interesting footage and also revealed a few flinches. Look carefully at the first set of pictures and you can actually see the hammer at about the half way point on its trip to the prism.
